Emotional intelligence in the educational field

Abstract

The following article was made in order to expose the background of emotional intelligence and its scope through the years until it was introduced in the educational field. Making a deep review of published scientific works that involved emotional intelligence as the main reference, the definition, importance, state of the art and influence in the classroom are revealed. It has been found that there are not enough elements to be able to make an accurate measurement due to the many aspects involved in developing emotional intelligence.
